Particle Size Distribution Measurements

  • Microtrac laser light diffraction and dynamic light scattering measurements range from 0.0008 to 2800+ microns. Particle size analysis is performed in water, solvent or air.
  • Microtrac Modular Analyzer (S3500) Measurement range is from .02 microns to 3000 microns. Measures particles in water, aqueous solutions, solvent or air.
  • Microtrac Nanotrac Particle Analyzer (NPA) Measurement range is from 0.0008 to 6.5 microns. Measures particles suspended in water or solvent.
  • Microtrac Standard Range Analyzer (SRA 150) Measurement range is from 0.7 to 704.0 micron. Measurements can be performed in water, aqueous solutions, solvent or air.
  • Microtrac X100 measurement range is from 0.04 to 704 microns. Measures particles suspended in water, aqueous solutions, solvent or air.

Lab Services

Laboratory Service Policies

Business day operated turnaround times are from the day samples are received.

Data are normally provided as Adobe pdf files to allow fastest possible delivery. Data also can be sent using FAX, or by US Mail for hard copies. FedX shipment of data is available at $25.00 fee.

Samples will be retained for 60 days and then returned or discarded depending upon safe handling requirements. At your request, samples may be returned (shipping charges will be applied to invoice).

All information concerning information about your sample and data are kept in strictest confidence. However, if you wish, you may provide a confidentiality agreement to be signed by our laboratory.

In order to submit a sample:

1) Download and print the sample submittal form.

2) Be sure to attach the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to the Sample - Samples without an MSDS will be returned.

3) Follow the instructions on the sample submittal form for shipping and handling.
